I believe photography is greater than the images we capture—it is a new way of seeing, of being. To be a photographer means living with intensity and deliberation.
In my film and digital photography, I have explored the theme of finding one’s path through solitude. These photographs represent a conversation with the trees, a homage to the stars, and a reverence of light and shadows. They represent my journey in introspection to discover my own meaning in the world around me.
My best work is yet to come; I want to someday take photographs that will speak to others in the same way that photographers like Ansel Adams, Fred Lyons, Michael Kenna, John Paul Caponigro, and Henri Cartier-Bresson have moved me. I hope to continue my journey in photography and leave the world with art that inspires wonder.
